Professor Francesca Romana Grippaudo lives and works in Rome, and è Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery of the University & agrave; Sapienza of Rome.
Won the award for best ITWIIN innovator in 2013; Awardee at GWIIN in 2015.
Since 2013 he has been an active member of ITWIIN, where he has held the position of Director, Secretary and President, a position in which he has been reconfirmed for the period 2024-2026.
From 2017 to 2020 è President of the Degree Course of Orthopedic Techniques of Wisdom, holder of the teachings of Plastic Surgery in the course of Degree B of the Faculty & agrave; of Medicine and Dentistry of Wisdom.
He has a degree in Medicine and a specialization in Plastic Surgery at the University & agrave; Sapienza of Rome with top marks and praise, continuing professional training in Great Britain and Australia, and obtaining a PhD in Medical Sciences at the University of Groningen, Netherlands.
Prof.ssa Grippaudo has participated as a Faculty Member in over 80 national and international courses and conferences, and has published over 100 articles in peer review journals on breast implants, on body contouring, complications from liquid silicone infiltration and Dermal fillers, reconstruction of the abdominal wall, original techniques for the correction of ear defects and breast surgery, on breast applications;Artificial Intelligence in Plastic Surgery, on gender gap in Plastic Surgery.
In 2016 he registered a European patent for the invention of Magic™, a bra that hides the temporary asymmetries of the breast during the phases of breast reconstruction. In 2019 he gets the authorization of the University & agrave; Wisdom to create the university start up Magic srls.

Gianna è the current Vice President of ITWIIN APS and was Past President. è a leading researcher with solid experience in European ICT research and development projects on software maintenance, multimedia educational software, software requirements and mobile telecommunications. È interested in developing new European projects in the field of ICT and AI.
Gianna Avellis è a leading researcher in ICT at Innovapuglia SPA, Valenzano, Bari. He has participated as project manager in several European projects in Software Engineering, Multimedia Educational Software and Mobile Telecommunications. Currently, she is the evaluator and monitor of SME research projects with Università & Agrave; and research centres for the Region of Apulia, funded by the European Funds for Research and Development (ERDF).
She has served at the European Commission as an independent expert evaluator of European projects in the field of Software, Services and IT. His current research interests include mobile software engineering, gender equality and artificial intelligence, particularly gender inclusive technology. Degree in Computer Science, 35 years of industrial research experience and 2 years of academic research at the Imperial College, Department of Distributed Software Engineering, London, UK, funded by a Marie Curie grant. It has around 90 papers published in conferences and peer-reviewed journals on combinatorics, software engineering, multimedia systems and mobile e-learning. Editor of international journals in the field of mobile telecommunications, such as iJET Int. Journal of Engineering Technology, iJIM Int. Journal of Interactive Mobile Technology and iJTE Int. Journal of Information Technology Education.
She is a volunteer in several research associations, currently holds the position of President of ICoRSA (www.icorsa.org) and President of ITARSA (www.itarsa.org), the Italian Association of Researchers of ICoRSA, founded by her in 2021.
È Fellow of the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) and founded the Gender Equality WG at MCAA, currently Chair of Task Force 5 on EU Projects of the GEDI (Gender Equity Diversity and Inclusion) WG of MCAA WG www.mariecuriealumni.eu.
Gianna actively participates in the CNR’s Gender and Talent (GETA) Advisory Board.
È member of CREIS (European Research Centre on Sustainable Innovation) www.creiseuropeanresearch.it and of Women & Science www.donnescienza.it.
È delegate of Women20 Italia, a G20 interest group on gender equality, which carries out policy actions on Gender Equality for the G20, www.w20italia.it, and represented the Italian delegation of Women20 as president of Women20 Italia in Japan in 2019.

Winner of the ITWIIN 2022 awards in the category of INVENTOR and of the GLOBALWIIN 2023, in the category of GOLD INVENTOR.
She's inventor of two international patents focused on a new construction system for the subdivision and articulation of the constructive space that introduce an innovative system based on modular blocks with variable geometry equipped with mechanical links switchable and disselectable interiors that ensure the structural and functional cohesion of partitions without the use of glues or mortars, Enabling high flexibility, reconfiguration and adaptability to the changing spatial needs of a circular product and process economy.
Since 2002 he has been working as a teacher and researcher in the field of technical architecture at the Politecnico di Bari.
The scientific activity is oriented towards the definition of new housing models and dimensional standards for emerging social categories with consequent change in housing models. In this perspective, the research focuses on a methodology for the regeneration of existing housing, oriented towards social housing, with a different approach to the relationships between the various domestic spaces and the construction techniques and technologies related to the flexibility of built space and domestic space.
She's author of numerous publications including books, essays and scientific articles. Participates in national and international research projects funded by competitive calls. Collaborates and is responsible for scientific research and agreements with public bodies. He has numerous collaborations and international research relationships with universities, Spanish, Portuguese and Belgian leading the way in the field of technical problems of living space.
Rita Assogna was born in Rome. She studied Chemistry at the “La Sapienza“ University of Rome. She is currently a consultant in intellectual property, in particular patents. She worked as a Management Advisor and Patent Law Expert in the field of Industrial Chemistry (European Patent Office, Munich, Germany) until 2015. She was the founder and first President of ITWIIN from 2009 to 2017 and is an ambassador of EUWIIN (European Women Inventors and Innovators Network). He is currently the UN representative for IFBPW in Vienna on various committees.
Architect and PhD in Building and Environmental Recovery, è Associate Professor of Architecture Technology (ICAR/12) since 2015, at the University of Catania, Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Special Educational Structure of Architecture and Cultural Heritage of Syracuse, where from 2004 to 2015 è Researcher. In 2018 he obtained the ASN at the functions of first-rate professor, SC 08/C1.
Member of the College of PhD Professors in Evaluation and Mitigation of Urban and Territorial Risks, Università of Catania. È member of the Working Group Magazines ANVUR Area 08, dell’University accreditation, auditor for VQR 2011-2014.
Winner of the STEAMiamoci ITWIIN 2021 award and received a special mention at the Global WIIN 2023 award. Admitted to ICOMOS in 2018, è component of ISCEC and Green Lines Institute for Sustainable Development (Portugal) since 2020. Member of the Board of Auditors of the Society & agrave; Italian Technology dell & rsquo;Architecture. Scientific Coordinator of the Publishing Series & ldquo;Recovery, Maintenance and Innovation for the environment & rdquo;, Publishing House: La Scuola di Pitagora, Naples, since 2017. Since 2003 he has been teaching at the University of Catania; between 2005 and 2012 at the University of Naples “Federico II”. He has carried out teaching and management activities in Master’s, Higher Education courses, tutors for postgraduate internships at the Region of Sicily.
In 2018 Visiting Scholar at the School of Architecture, Design and Built Environment, Nottingham Trent University, UK; in 2019 at the Departamento de Construcciones ArquitectóNicas, Universidad de Granada; in 2024 at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Bath.
The activities & agrave; scientific & egrave; oriented innovation in the process of recovery, maintenance, enhancement and management of the built environment, dealing with strategic issues for the development of the territory and with a significant international impact (the reuse and management of assets confiscated from mafias, the enhancement of public cultural heritage, the active participation of citizens in the care of common goods, the circular economy in the construction sector).
È author of three monographs and about 130 essays and scientific articles. Former research director at the Institute of Water Research-CNR and Senior Associate Researcher of the National Research Council (CNR), until December 2021.
As a researcher, he has studied climate effects on glacial areas and climatic effects on high and low altitude alpine lakes; algal nutrient circulation and its effects in lakes and rivers (eutrophication); the limnological study of the lakes Pusiano, Orta, Mergozzo, Mezzola, Como, Maggiore, etc. as well as some Briantei lakes, volcanic lakes in central Italy and alpine lakes) and rivers (Lambro, Seveso, Po, etc. ) and, for about thirty years, acid rain (1975-2005) and their role in the cycle of pollutants, including organic micro-pollutants.
It is also responsible for the construction and operation of networks of high altitude weather monitoring stations (Khumbu Valley (Nepal), Baltoro Valley (Pakistan)) still operational after about 30 years from their start.
For over two decades he has dedicated himself to the creation of databases of river and lake water bodies (Catasto dei Laghi del Parco Sagarmatha (Nepal); LIMNO-Database dei laghi italiani; Osservatorio dei Laghi Lombardi, PIROGA Integrated project lake/ basin for the recovery of qualityecological and hydrological management of the waters of Lake Pusiano; PLINIUS-Integrated Project for the recovery of the branch of Como to a Sustainable Use and participated of the Larian ecosystem; SOLAD-Archive of quality data; chemistry and biological of the rivers Lambro, Seveso and Olona, etc.), with the intent to reconstruct the temporal evolution of the quality of water bodies.
In recent years he has taken on different roles, including: co-chair of the Water Energy Nexus Competence area, of the Lombardy Energy Cleantech Cluster (LE2C); member of the Scientific Council (CS) of Meteonetwork; of the Technical Scientific Committee (CTS) of the Green Foundation (Vimercate, MB); del Consiglio Scientifico dell’Osservatorio del Paesaggio "Lambro Lucente" di Milano, Gruppo Ambiente e Territorio (GAT). and the scientific advice of other associations. Since December 2020 Ambassador of the European Climate Pact appointed by the European Commission and recentlyFounder of the Association EuCliPa.IT APS, of which & egrave; currently the secretary. In October 2023 he organized the XV edition of the ITWINN Prize and since February 2024 councillor of the Association.
He is the author of over 200 publications, including over 100 in international journals, and conducts activities editorial review of scientific articles of various periodicals of various international publishing houses.
